Digital Image Correlation
- September 9
There is a clear need for an objective and reproducible means of measuring the dynamic rhytid in aesthetic and reconstructive surgery. Current attempts at measuring the dynamic rhytid have predominantly relied on static photographs and the degree of permanent etching.1–4
This study introduces a novel technology for precisely measuring and quantifying the dynamic rhytid during facial animation. It employs dynamic speckle tracking three-dimensional digital image correlation with the Aramis analysis system (GOM mbH, Braunschweig, Germany).
