What is Contour TRL™?
Contour TRL (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) is a laser resurfacing treatment that is designed to deeply penetrate the skin to address stubborn skin concerns, including acne scars, wrinkles, and uneven skin tone and texture. It’s an Erbium YAG ablative laser that can easily address aged, pigmented, and damaged skin and give you the youthful appearance you’re looking for. Contour TRL works by removing the top layer of the skin to trigger the body’s natural healing process and stimulate collagen production.

Who is a Candidate for Contour?
If you’re struggling with stubborn skin imperfections like pigmentation issues, lines and wrinkles, acne scars, and more, you are likely a good candidate for the Contour TRL treatment. On top of that, we recommend that you be:
- In good overall health
- Have realistic expectations of treatment
- Not have any active skin infections
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- A nonsmoker
The Contour Procedure
To start your Contour laser treatment, we’ll start by cleansing the treatment area and giving you protective eye shields for your eyes. From there, we’ll administer a topical or local anesthetic to ensure you’re comfortable throughout treatment. Although, the kind of anesthetic needed will depend on how deep or shallow the problem is.
The laser device will then be moved over your skin. Because the Contour TRL laser uses micron precision, Dr. Wilson will be able to target the exact area needed. No more, no less.
Depending on how big the treatment area is and the results you’re looking for, the procedure can last anywhere from 45-60 minutes.

MEET DR. WILSONAftercare
After your Contour TRL treatment, your skin will be red and swollen. We recommend resting as much as possible and taking at least a week or two off work. You will want to avoid sun exposure until your skin is completely healed. Beyond the 1-2 weeks off work, you will also need 2-4 weeks of downtime. That said, this recovery time can depend on how deep or shallow the imperfection is. You will not see results immediately. It typically takes about 6-12 weeks for the skin to heal and for collagen to build up in the skin.
