What is MOXI®?

MOXI® is a gentle yet powerful 1927 nm non-ablative fractionated laser. It was designed to correct signs of sun damage and signs of aging, like lines and wrinkles. It can be used on the neck, chest, hands, arms, legs, and other areas. And because it works on all skin types, it’s often a safe and effective treatment for most patients.

One session usually takes 10-15 minutes. While a single treatment can provide significant results, we typically recommend 2-4 treatment sessions for optimal results. Achieve a glowing and flawless complexion today with MOXI!

Who is a Candidate for MOXI?

Most patients are good candidates for MOXI if they are struggling with sun damage, hyperpigmentation, uneven skin tone, lines and wrinkles, and uneven skin texture. But beyond that, there are certain criteria we look for, including:

  • In good overall health
  • Have realistic expectations
  • Looking for brighter skin
  • Looking for minimal downtime
  • Not pregnant or breastfeeding

The MOXI Procedure

To start, we’ll begin by cleansing the treatment area and, depending on the depth of treatment, apply a topical numbing cream. Your provider will then pass the MOXI laser handpiece over the skin. The speed and depth of the laser light will be continually monitored throughout treatment to ensure the best results. Because MOXI is a non-ablative laser, you won’t have to worry about pain, wounds, or an extended healing process.

How long your treatment takes will depend on the size of the treatment area and the results you’re looking for.

Aftercare

There is little to no downtime with the MOXI laser. You will likely see some pink or redness for 3-4 days after treatment, but that will subside on its own. You can likely start wearing makeup 24 hours after the procedure. During that first 24 hours, you will also want to stick to gentle skincare products and moisturize regularly. You’ll also want to use broad-spectrum sunscreen to protect your skin from the sun.

As for results, you will see improvements right away. That said, while you may see some results after your first treatment, it typically takes a series of sessions spaced several weeks apart before you see more dramatic results. To maintain those results, you’ll need regular touch-up treatments.
