Who is a Good Candidate for HALO Laser Treatments?
Halo laser treatments are safe for use on virtually all skin types and tones, and they can be adjusted to each patient’s needs. Some of the qualifications that make someone a good candidate for Halo laser treatment include:
- Being in good overall health
- Non-smoker
- Looking to improve the health and appearance of your skin
- Not pregnant or breastfeeding
- Not undergoing chemotherapy or radiation treatment
- Have realistic expectations
The HALO Laser Treatment Procedure
The Halo laser treatment will begin with your provider applying a topical anesthetic to ensure you’re comfortable during the procedure. From there, your provider will apply the HALO laser to the treatment area. As it goes over your skin, cooling technology is administered to ensure you feel no discomfort. You may feel a mild prickling sensation, but that’s about it. The whole process will take about 2 hours, and one treatment session typically achieves optimal results, but how many treatments you need can depend on your skin concerns.

MEET DR. WILSONAftercare
After HALO Laser treatments, you will likely experience some swelling and redness in the treatment area, but that’s typically the only side effect, and it will diminish on its own within a few days. Your skin may feel slightly warm for 30-60 minutes after treatment. You may also experience some skin peeling. Allow it to peel and fall off naturally. Don’t pick at it.
As you recover, you’ll want to wear sunscreen every day and use high-quality skincare products. You’ll want a gentle cleanser and moisturizer to ensure your skin is clean and hydrated. Additionally, stay out of direct sunlight for seven days after treatment.
As for results, you will see initial results within two to five days after treatment. Final results take two to three weeks for most patients, but it can depend on the severity of your skin concerns. Your skin will continue to improve as collagen production increases.
As the healing process continues, you’ll notice improvements in your skin texture and tone, pigmentation, and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on treated skin. The results will last for years, and you can receive additional HALO treatment to maintain your results.
