What is PRX & PRX Plus?
PRX is a type of non-invasive facial and peel that combines TCA, hydrogen peroxide, and Kojic acid to address a variety of skin concerns, including everything from hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone to scarring to loose skin, sun damage, and redness. It works like a peel but without any of the pain or the peeling that comes with that treatment.
The hydrogen peroxide regulates inflammation that often comes with TCA peels and the Kojic acid is a depigmenting agent that will help give you the flawless complexion you’re looking for.
PRX Plus is a more powerful version of PRX and contains homocysteic acid, a powerful brightening agent, and 33% ammonium trichloroacetate, which works to stimulate the healing process. On top of that, the formula includes citric and phytic acid to help remove dead skin cells and give you perfectly glowing skin. Like PRX, it can be used to address hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone without the peeling process, but it can also help reduce the appearance of deeper wrinkles safely and effectively.

Who is a Candidate for PRX and PRX Plus?
Most patients looking for a more flawless complexion are good candidates for the PRX and PRX Plus. That said, there are some criteria we look for. Ideal candidates often struggle with acne scars, stretch marks, wrinkles, enlarged pores, sun damage, and dark spots. On top of that, we also recommend you be in good overall health, not have any active skin infections, and be willing to take care of your skin after treatment.
The PRX Procedure
PRX is a quick, non-invasive treatment. To start off, we’ll start by quickly cleansing your skin. From there, your provider will then apply the prepping solution. Next, the PRX or PRX Plus formula is applied with firm pressure. How many layers of the PRX compound are applied will depend on your skin concerns, but typically, 2-4 layers are used. The solution will then be gently rinsed off, and a thick moisturizer will be applied.
Treatment typically takes between 30-60 minutes in total.
