Who is a Good Candidate for Sculptra?
If you are looking for a younger-looking appearance and want a non-surgical approach, you are likely a good candidate for Sculptra injections. You should also meet the following criteria:
- Be in good overall health
- Want to achieve natural-looking results
- Have realistic expectations of treatment

The Sculptra Procedure
The procedure for Sculptra could not be simpler. To start, we’ll cleanse your skin to ensure it’s prepared for your injections. We can also apply a topical numbing agent to ensure you’re comfortable throughout the procedure. From there, Dr. Wilson will prepare the injections, mark the injection sites, and then perform the injections. You may feel some slight pressure and a pinch, but that’s about it. How many injections you need will depend on the results you’re looking for and the size of the treatment area. Treatment usually takes 30-60 minutes.

After your Sculptra injections, you will likely have some swelling and bruising, but those side effects will subside within a day or two. During this time, you’ll also want to avoid strenuous activities and excess sun exposure to ensure you achieve the optimal results.
Unlike other dermal fillers, you will not see results immediately. As a collagen stimulator, it will take time to boost collagen production and build up collagen in the skin. It will take about a month before enough collagen builds up to see significant improvements. Your results will last two years or longer. Repeated treatments will be needed to maintain your results.
