What is Cosmetic Mole & Lesion Removal?
Cosmetic mole and lesion removal is a minor surgical procedure used to remove unwanted moles, skin tags, and other benign skin growths. These may include raised or flat moles, skin tags, and other non-cancerous lesions.
The procedure is typically performed in-office under local anesthesia. Depending on the type, size, and location of the lesion, your provider may remove it using a precise excision or another technique designed to minimize scarring and preserve the surrounding skin.

The Mole & Lesion Removal Procedure
Cosmetic mole and lesion removal is a quick and straightforward procedure performed in-office. The treatment area is numbed with local anesthesia to ensure your comfort.
Once the area is prepared, your provider will carefully remove the lesion using the most appropriate technique based on its size, depth, and location. The goal is to remove the lesion completely while achieving the best possible cosmetic result.
In some cases, sutures may be used to support healing and minimize scarring. Most procedures are completed within a short office visit.
Recovery
Recovery is typically simple and well tolerated. You may experience mild redness, swelling, or tenderness in the treated area for a few days.
If sutures are placed, they are usually removed within about one week. As the area heals, you will notice gradual improvement in the appearance of your skin.
Following your provider’s aftercare instructions, including proper wound care and sun protection, will help support optimal healing.
